Don't ask what the
world needs.
Ask what makes you
come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.

It also reminds me of walking into this great gallery in Coolangatta QLD a few yrs ago...
The most captivating photographs and an amazing photographer who didnt mind me chatting him up. To have the passion to follow your dreams....

"I love to just get out on the road and travel. It seems just by getting out and keeping an open mind unique and beautiful images are everywhere. I might go all the way to WA and come back with a photo of a fin, but I find it is the search that helps open your eyes to what is all around".

Drool worthy

What do you get when you mix modern Australian architecture + coastal living?

Heaven.

Stanwell Park Beach House

Images & design by Casey Brown Architecture - Published in Modern Architecture | Coastal Homes

"This modern holiday home, designed for both entertaining and family vacations, consists of three attached pavilions in local stone, timber and copper, overlooking Australia’s Stanwell Park beach and the Pacific Ocean.
Situated on a steep site, the building features separate levels and a series of decks, allowing external, yet private, living spaces.
...carefully planned, the different levels also allow a number of families to comfortably enjoy their vacation together."

Storms of the Century

While I sit here in sunny Vancouver brewing my own little storm, let's call her Esmerelda - aka the stomach flu, I can only watch as friends & family take cover.

Snowmageddon is blasting everything from well, pretty much anything east of the Rockies through to the coast, from New Mexico up to Maine! I do love driving in the snow, but shoveling... well, good luck with that! Chicago is expected to be hit by up to three feet (91cm) of snow!!!

and...

Monster Cyclone Yasi slams Queensland Coast. Seriously? They're not even finished cleaning from the floods! Cat 5 storm with winds forecast to reach up to 300km/h (190mph)...

Excerpt from BBC News (published Feb 2/11)

State Premier Anna Bligh described the weather system as the "most catastrophic storm ever seen" in the state.

She warned that it could cause a tidal surge as high as nine metres (nearly 30ft) in some places, overwhelming low-lying coastal areas.

Dad & Oliver - be safe. Noah - stay out of the waters!
